At the doorstep of Charleston I met my college room mates to celebrate the 40th year of Lacey. They picked me up at the airport (got a free ticket from Page's Delta Skymiles)!
Upon our arrival the clunking sound in the rear proved to need a fixing.......so AAA, and a man named Jimmy came to the aide to leave us three girls in the middle of downtown Charleston without wheels, but with heels.
We strolled the streets to find a carriage ride, where we learned a lot about the history of Charleston. It seems to have seen its fair share of fires, hurricanes, and floods.
The old homes were beautiful, growing with ivy. And each home seemed to have its own unique door knocker and style.
I met Beth and Lacey at Cumberland College in Kentucky, uhhh many years ago, 1991, to name the year!
Unbelievable that it has been so many years. It is a blessing to have so many memories with these amazing ladies!!! They spur me on! And it is super amazing to make new memories!
We have had some interesting adventures!
We ate dinner in an old church with beautiful stained glass windows.
Had dessert at Kaminsky's.
And that was day one of our Charleston adventure!
