The Lighthouse

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On at 9:45 AM

We went to see Page's brother and wife yesterday and their cute little
children. We all met at Ponce Inlet and there is a beautiful lighthouse
there. I think one of the most beautiful lighthouses I have seen. The
boys climbed all 175 feet to the top with daddy. Maggie Beth and I
stayed at the bottom of the lighthouse and looked at all the houses and
museum stuff there was to see. I really did not feel like climbing to
the top of that spiral stair case with a baby on my hip. I wish I would
have brought our little bjorn thingy. But I have been to the top of the
lighthouse there before. The boys really had a good time with their
cousins. We really made a whole day of it, in the morning we hung out
at the park area at the inlet, had lunch at a local pizza place with the
family, and then made it to the lighthouse!

Christmas Loot!

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 6:35 PM

Oh, I love Christmas morning........at my age not the early hours that
children want to rise and open presents........but I love the smiles on
their little faces and the joy of them opening their presents! So
adorable. Maggie Beth really tried to eat her presents, although not
very nutritious. Hezekiah plowed into his stocking and
gifts.............he was like very dangerous and devoured his presents
in no time flat. Eli on the other hand went through his stocking
methodically and then finally after Hezekiah told him he had presents
too, opened his gifts with the help of his older brother. It is so neat
how each display a different style of gift opening! The day was pretty
much spent playing with their new found prizes.........the nice thing
about the boys is that they really like the same things so the gifts are
like for both of them and they really have been enjoying playing with
each others toys too. Oh, I love Christmas! Thank you Jesus for
coming for us! Definitely the best gift of all!!!

Over 7 months, Christmas Sing-a-long, You're pretty mommy! & Squashfest 2008

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Friday, December 19, 2008 at 5:34 PM

Maggie Beth is over 7 months old now! I have been trying to post a
picture of her each month so you can see how she is changing! She is so
adorable! An angel that we should really put on top of our tree.
Hezekiah had his Christmas sing-a-long at school on Thursday and Eli
thinks he is totally apart of Hezekiah's class. We took cupcakes in on
Wednesday to school for Hezekiah's birthday and Eli sat at the table
with the other kids and he looked so grown up, he really wanted to go
outside and play on the playground with the class too.........which he
could have but I told him the NO word so of course he threw a royal
fit.........because what 3 year old likes to be told NO? (Not many I
have met!) Eli has also been telling me, "Mommy, you are pretty!" So,
yes it is super hard to say No to a child who out of the blue comes up
to you and smiles sheepishly and says, "Mommy, you are pretty!" I tell
him, "Oh, Eli that makes Mommy's heart so happy, thank you!" So I think
that because he gets a bagillion kisses and since I say that it makes my
heart happy that he just keeps telling me over and over. He has also
been telling Daddy that he is cool, and Hezekiah is cool, since boys are
not pretty. At least that is his and Hezekiah's thought process on the
whole pretty and cool thing! Well, it is only 6 more days til
Christmas!!!! Merry Christmas!

Hezekiah's Birthday Party! Oh My Goodness!

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Monday, December 15, 2008 at 11:01 AM

We celebrated Hezekiah's 5th Birthday a bit early, since his birthday is
really Christmas Eve. We went to Pump it Up and had a blast. He had
the cutest little smile on his face the whole time and well, it was all
about him! He raced daddy in the obstacle course and won! He had the
coolest Space Shuttle cake ever and was really excited to spend time
with his little friends! They are all so cute! We were so thankful
that so many of his little friends could celebrate with us! Hezekiah
was enthused that Alston was there, of course!
We are really blessed to have Hezekiah as our son and I just am
overwhelmed that my first little baby is going to be 5. He is as
handsome as they come and is really being a good helper around the house
these days. Hezekiah will say, "I cleaned up all of those toys without
anyone even asking me to." Or, "I put my shoes in the basket without
anyone even asking me to." So we give him stars..........good
incentives! He is such a cutie pie. I love how he talks and I just
love everything about this little guy! I love how he studies his toys
and I love how he imagines he is really a Storm Trooper. We are
certainly blessed!

Mailing Santa a Letter

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On at 6:30 AM

We went to Macy's this weekend to mail our letters to Santa!

I love when she talks like that!!

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 10:17 AM

Maggie Beth has officially started talking! Oh, my sweet pea said, "Ma
Ma Ma!" Today is the official I heard her say it day! She has done it
all today too, "Na na na and Da da da!!!" It is absolutely amazing! It
gets me all teary eyed! Oh, I love the babies and especially this
little angel of mine! That she is a sweet little angel. It was so
cute, when we picked Hezekiah up from preschool she was chitter
chattering and Hezekiah says, "I love when she talks like that." And
that says it all!

Don't forget your keys!

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 6:59 AM

We had a stay at the house type of holiday with colds, hacking, runny noses. Fun stuff. We had a nice Thanksgiving at our friends house, and I did brave Black Friday, but only at 8 in the morning and still got the deals I wanted. But other than that it was nice to spend time together, playing outside and decorating our home for Christmas. It is so cute to see the kids get so excited and watch them help decorate the Christmas tree and help place all the decor, it is so funny because there are all new things to play with that they have not seen for a whole year!!! Hezekiah was ready to have Christmas, but Eli reminded us that, "But we don't have da pwesents yet!" "We have to get da pwesents unda da twee." Page is like, That's my kid!" Because each year the presents TAUNT my sweet Page.

Hezekiah and daddy even played a full game of Star Wars trivial pursuit over our break.

Eli's new thing after he thanks God each night for Mamaw and Papaw and Popcorn, he tells us, "Don't forget your keys!" Every night he has been telling Page and I to not forget our keys? Why, we do not know..........but we better not forget them.

6 Months Old

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Monday, November 17, 2008 at 10:35 AM

We have a little cutie pie who is 6 months old already! I cannot
believe it, she is really developing her personality and is making me
laugh. Maggie Beth loves to stick out her little tongue and eat my chin
off! She is such a peanut and just such a sweet little baby! I love my
Maggie Beth!

My Story

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 10:11 AM

Yesterday I was playing with Eli and he proceeds to tell me a story
about myself. He says, "Mommy, I have a story about you." I said, "You
do?" He said, "Yes." I was like, "Well, can you tell me the story?"
Eli says, "Once upon a time there was Mommy. There was a monster and
Mommy screamed." I truly believe he is going to be an author due to his
love of letters and well now making up stories! I love it!

Beth is adorable in her little hat!

3:53 a.m. - 4:50 a.m. The Time the Planet Heroes Arrived

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Monday, October 27, 2008 at 5:47 AM

3:53 a.m. - 4:50 a.m. -- The time I was awoken this morning by two little boys who were busy playing Planet Heroes. Now, mind you I was awoken at 3:53 a.m. hearing some cracking sound and so I went to check on "the house" and all its' "occupants," it is hard to say actually what time the PLANET HEROES actually started their flying around the Hezekiah/Eli galaxy. To that I really do not mind knowing........let's just call it 'Ignorance is Bliss.' So, I see light coming from around the door and I go in and Hezekiah is playing with Ace and Eli has Tiny (an asteroid, who is not so tiny). I am like, "Oh, my goodness......do you see outside??? There is no blue outside (the color of the sky when Hezekiah sees it is time to get up.......when the sun is rising.......definitely Page's child!!). GO TO BED!!" So, I proceed to get my pillow and a blanket and sleep on their floor to MAKE SURE THEY GO BACK TO BED!!! As I get my pillow from my comfy bed, I grumble at Page, "Your children are up at 4 a.m. playing Planet heroes!" So I camp out on their floor, because I know that once I left that room and they were not asleep then I would be back in there like every 15 minutes.........and well I desperately wanted to go back to bed myself. So I listen to my boys toss back and forth in their nice comfy beds, while I lay on the floor??? What am I thinking I am asking myself.........you should put those boys on the floor and get in Eli's bottom bunk........that way at least YOU would be comfortable. I listen more and Hezekiah is like whispering to his toys........so I take ALL toys away and I listen to Eli slurp on his thumb. Then I keep like talking to myself in my mind.........why I sure wish the floor was like a Tempurpedic mattress (those soft cushion mattresses that like form to your body). I wish that those little Planet heroes would go to sleep so I could go to my bed. Does Page even care that I am in here & he is in that comfy bed. My little Maggie Beth is such a good little girl........ya know you would think that I would be up with a 5 month old maybe, but a 3 & 4 year old........AAArrgghhh!!!! I also said to myself. "Well, I guess this is blog worthy?" But I really do not know if this is an early morning I want to remember.

TRUNK or TREAT

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 11:39 AM

Here are some images from Trunk or Treat at our church last night. Whew
it was hot! Hezekiah was Iron Man, but busted out of his costume once
he was done Trunk or Treating. Eli was "Eli, I don't want to be
anysing!" That is ANYTHING for those of you who do not know Eli and how
he pronounces his words. Maggie Beth was the most adorable little kitty
cat. She however, had too much fun eating her feet and smearing the
black face paint AKA whiskers, so thankfully I had some wipes on hand.
They were too cute. We are looking forward to dressing up again this
Friday to go to another Trunk or Treat. (Actually, right down the
road...........it is so adorable because they have the cutest preschool
games for the kids!!!) YEAH for Candy!

Lemonade Stand

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 10:30 AM

Here are some pictures of our garage sale/lemonade stand that we had
yesterday. Hezekiah drank a lot of our profits. We even had a pitcher
of lemonade spill too. Our cookies were the big seller of the day, but
there were also cupcakes and brownies! The boys helped for about 2 1/2
to 3 hours and then they decided they had had enough.
