The Lighthouse

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On at 9:45 AM

We went to see Page's brother and wife yesterday and their cute little
children. We all met at Ponce Inlet and there is a beautiful lighthouse
there. I think one of the most beautiful lighthouses I have seen. The
boys climbed all 175 feet to the top with daddy. Maggie Beth and I
stayed at the bottom of the lighthouse and looked at all the houses and
museum stuff there was to see. I really did not feel like climbing to
the top of that spiral stair case with a baby on my hip. I wish I would
have brought our little bjorn thingy. But I have been to the top of the
lighthouse there before. The boys really had a good time with their
cousins. We really made a whole day of it, in the morning we hung out
at the park area at the inlet, had lunch at a local pizza place with the
family, and then made it to the lighthouse!

Christmas Loot!

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 6:35 PM

Oh, I love Christmas morning........at my age not the early hours that
children want to rise and open presents........but I love the smiles on
their little faces and the joy of them opening their presents! So
adorable. Maggie Beth really tried to eat her presents, although not
very nutritious. Hezekiah plowed into his stocking and
gifts.............he was like very dangerous and devoured his presents
in no time flat. Eli on the other hand went through his stocking
methodically and then finally after Hezekiah told him he had presents
too, opened his gifts with the help of his older brother. It is so neat
how each display a different style of gift opening! The day was pretty
much spent playing with their new found prizes.........the nice thing
about the boys is that they really like the same things so the gifts are
like for both of them and they really have been enjoying playing with
each others toys too. Oh, I love Christmas! Thank you Jesus for
coming for us! Definitely the best gift of all!!!

Over 7 months, Christmas Sing-a-long, You're pretty mommy! & Squashfest 2008

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Friday, December 19, 2008 at 5:34 PM

Maggie Beth is over 7 months old now! I have been trying to post a
picture of her each month so you can see how she is changing! She is so
adorable! An angel that we should really put on top of our tree.
Hezekiah had his Christmas sing-a-long at school on Thursday and Eli
thinks he is totally apart of Hezekiah's class. We took cupcakes in on
Wednesday to school for Hezekiah's birthday and Eli sat at the table
with the other kids and he looked so grown up, he really wanted to go
outside and play on the playground with the class too.........which he
could have but I told him the NO word so of course he threw a royal
fit.........because what 3 year old likes to be told NO? (Not many I
have met!) Eli has also been telling me, "Mommy, you are pretty!" So,
yes it is super hard to say No to a child who out of the blue comes up
to you and smiles sheepishly and says, "Mommy, you are pretty!" I tell
him, "Oh, Eli that makes Mommy's heart so happy, thank you!" So I think
that because he gets a bagillion kisses and since I say that it makes my
heart happy that he just keeps telling me over and over. He has also
been telling Daddy that he is cool, and Hezekiah is cool, since boys are
not pretty. At least that is his and Hezekiah's thought process on the
whole pretty and cool thing! Well, it is only 6 more days til
Christmas!!!! Merry Christmas!

Hezekiah's Birthday Party! Oh My Goodness!

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Monday, December 15, 2008 at 11:01 AM

We celebrated Hezekiah's 5th Birthday a bit early, since his birthday is
really Christmas Eve. We went to Pump it Up and had a blast. He had
the cutest little smile on his face the whole time and well, it was all
about him! He raced daddy in the obstacle course and won! He had the
coolest Space Shuttle cake ever and was really excited to spend time
with his little friends! They are all so cute! We were so thankful
that so many of his little friends could celebrate with us! Hezekiah
was enthused that Alston was there, of course!
We are really blessed to have Hezekiah as our son and I just am
overwhelmed that my first little baby is going to be 5. He is as
handsome as they come and is really being a good helper around the house
these days. Hezekiah will say, "I cleaned up all of those toys without
anyone even asking me to." Or, "I put my shoes in the basket without
anyone even asking me to." So we give him stars..........good
incentives! He is such a cutie pie. I love how he talks and I just
love everything about this little guy! I love how he studies his toys
and I love how he imagines he is really a Storm Trooper. We are
certainly blessed!

Mailing Santa a Letter

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On at 6:30 AM

We went to Macy's this weekend to mail our letters to Santa!

I love when she talks like that!!

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 10:17 AM

Maggie Beth has officially started talking! Oh, my sweet pea said, "Ma
Ma Ma!" Today is the official I heard her say it day! She has done it
all today too, "Na na na and Da da da!!!" It is absolutely amazing! It
gets me all teary eyed! Oh, I love the babies and especially this
little angel of mine! That she is a sweet little angel. It was so
cute, when we picked Hezekiah up from preschool she was chitter
chattering and Hezekiah says, "I love when she talks like that." And
that says it all!

Don't forget your keys!

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 6:59 AM

We had a stay at the house type of holiday with colds, hacking, runny noses. Fun stuff. We had a nice Thanksgiving at our friends house, and I did brave Black Friday, but only at 8 in the morning and still got the deals I wanted. But other than that it was nice to spend time together, playing outside and decorating our home for Christmas. It is so cute to see the kids get so excited and watch them help decorate the Christmas tree and help place all the decor, it is so funny because there are all new things to play with that they have not seen for a whole year!!! Hezekiah was ready to have Christmas, but Eli reminded us that, "But we don't have da pwesents yet!" "We have to get da pwesents unda da twee." Page is like, That's my kid!" Because each year the presents TAUNT my sweet Page.

Hezekiah and daddy even played a full game of Star Wars trivial pursuit over our break.

Eli's new thing after he thanks God each night for Mamaw and Papaw and Popcorn, he tells us, "Don't forget your keys!" Every night he has been telling Page and I to not forget our keys? Why, we do not know..........but we better not forget them.
