This past Friday we drove North to St. Augustine.
We went to the Castillo de San Marcos.
Oh, these pirates are so cute!

Here the kids are storming the Castillo.

 Maggie Beth read every placard.

The cannons were beautiful, we watched the soldiers blast the cannons, and we learned about the Spanish soldiers who lived there and how they used the cannons and the tools to clean and charge the cannons.

The kids earned their Junior Ranger badges by completing the Junior Ranger books.

We learned how the melted lead to create and mold bullets.
We also learned how they made change with their money, the eighthed the coins and the kids each got a dubloon.

Here the kids are at the gates of St. Augustine.
