Blue Ridge, Georgia - Tubing and Hiking

We stayed at the Lazy Bear Lodge, which is a rental property that we rented from Mountain Laurel Cabins in Blue Ridge. It had 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, an upstairs and a downstairs, with a game room, & a hot tub. Upstairs there was a kitchen and a nice sized living space and dining area. The master bedroom and bath were also on the first floor.
We tubed the Toccoa River, it was beautiful. We enjoyed it so much that we went back again later in the week and took our phones to take photos. The cool water, and the areas to get out and skip rocks and find critters was very enjoyable. We spent several hours in this river this past week.
The rocks above are just a portion of what we brought back with us. Treasures!
The tubing company we used was Toccoa River Adventures, great company to rent tubes from. They also had very cool decor. We had fun staging some photos with this gorilla.
To get to the tubing area you have to cross the tracks. These are the tracks that we rode over the next day on the Blue Ridge Express. So we got some sweet railroad pictures. We also found a ton of old railroad ties and the kids were so excited because they wanted to give them to friends we would see later in the week.
At the cabin, not only was the hot tub a fun place to play, but also the bubble bath. All the kids "had" to take bubble baths.
A couple of the evenings we took some hikes. This particular cabin was the last one on the road. There were several lots still available to purchase to build upon, but they were vacant. We got to see lots of wildlife. We saw deer and foxes on this property.
Hezekiah enjoyed catching critters, here is a grasshopper. We also found deer prints. The first night also caught lightning bugs.
