The Seminole tribe of Florida displays their history and culture in this beautiful indoor exhibit of their everyday life. It also shows their textiles, and examples of games that they played like stick ball and this other game where they used a dice made from a cows' knee bone to gain points. This area was really interesting and the kids decided they would make their own stick ball game. We also learned about a Fish dance and their Green corn festival.
At the AH-TAH-THI-KI museum there is an outdoor boardwalk that takes you to a restoration area where the archeaologists and museum curators mend and take care of the relics. There is also an area where there are dugouts, some canoes. Here Maggie Beth, Eli, and Hezekiah are trying a hand at canoeing.
