South of the Border - kids first visit ever

 We told the kids there was a "special" place to visit as we drove northward toward Williamsburg, Va.  That special place, South of the Border.  Ha!  They cracked me up about what they had to say about this special destination.

Charleston, S.C.

On our way to homeschool days in Williamsburg, Va, we stopped in Charleston, S.C. for a quick afternoon visit. 
While in Charleston we went on a carriage ride that gave a guided tour and history of the city.
The houses, my goodness, are beautiful. 
 We also walked around downtown Charleston in the marketplace and then went over the bridge to Sullivan's Island for dinner at Poe's.
