Check out Hezekiah and Eli's cake cells. 

The boys both created a plant and an animal cell. 

They really enjoyed creating the cells and of course sampling the ingredients.

Cake just makes Biology more tasty!

It's great when worlds collide.  

Like when your oldest son is studying Biology this year in homeschool, and it just so happens that well........that is what you have studied pretty much your whole life. 

It makes teaching the subjects so much easier when you enjoy them. 

I think the enthusiasm is rubbing off on him.  

He had a great time placing the correct organism in the correct kingdom.

It's also pretty cool to start your new homeschool year, with a big catch on your first day of school.

While we were busy about our work on Monday, who happens to walk in with a trout?

Page, AKA Daddy, ready to filet. 

So prior to fileting the fish, we did the outside anatomy of the 20 inch trout.  With huge teeth!

Above is Open House attire for Preschool.

A Lalaloopsy dress and pink polka-dotted converse.  

She wore the dress until it got too hot. 

And today was Maggie Beth's first day back to preschool, VPK. 

She did great and had a lot of fun!

There are some sweet things my kids do that I do not want to forget.

Eli calls cannonballs (the ones that you do when you jump in the pool).......cannonbolts.  It has stuck with Magpie.

Another cute thing he does is when he is reading a book or a comic book he will walk with the book to his nose (practically), and just walk and read.  He did that out of the library and at the mall the other day.  It is like he is a little book worm.

I also love how the boys get in their beds at night and take books and lay there or sit there and read.

I also love how Magpie calls tights......."stripes"........I do not even correct her........it is just too cute!  

I sure hope you have or are already writing down your kiddos cute things......because I know you want to remember them.

I am not kidding when I post that this is normally what Maggie Beth wears around the house.

Honestly, each time I see her I think of Flash Dance.  

She just needs some leg warmers.

But I guess we each have a bit of flash dance in us.  :) 

So we made our shirts a bit different this Olympiad.

We created them like the Beach Ball Volleyball (that's how Hezekiah says it -- too cute).

We put our number on the back 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.  USA and then our last name.

Maggie and Eli added a bit more paint bling to their shirts.

I am going to have to get a family photo, b/c Page and I have shirts too........I know we are just too darn cute! :)

Ha ha ha!!

On the front we put the Olympic rings.

Very fitting to celebrate the Olympics and Michael Phelps 19 medal!

We are certainly cheering on a fellow Phelps!  Hopefully he will get 22 medals!

And let me just let you in on a bit of an insight, as a swimmer, his events I have swam and they are the hardest of all the events!!!
