Little VBS Friends

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Friday, June 10, 2011 at 5:53 PM

Maggie Beth had a wonderful time this week.  I heard a lot about an old but then again new friend to her.

This afternoon we went swimming at the pool and all I heard from Maggie's mouth was her little friends name!

Oh, they are just too cute!

Here are some more pictures from our last day at VBS.
I have some little ones who are very sad that VBS is over.

I think they wish it could gone on forever.

I am just super happy they had a blast at Beach Blast!

It is really neat to see Hezekiah loving the music and motions.

He had a good time with his little crew!

He is just too adorable!

He is loving his class.

Vacation Bible School

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11:06 AM

We have been vacation Bible schooling it this week at St. Mark's UMC.

The kids have been having so much fun.

Upon leaving the first day Hezekiah exclaims, "I am having a blast Mommy!"  He actually gets to be with 3 little friends he knows in his group and in the group that they go around with.

Oh, that makes my heart happy!

I somehow ended up getting Eli in my group of 3 kids, we are the smallest group, but probably best that way! Ha ha ha (inside joke, just pray, just pray...thankfully God answers my prayers)!  Eli is pretty slow to warm, so now it is Wednesday and he is getting into the games.  Craft and snack of course he loves.

Maggie Beth did not even shed a tear going into her class, which is REMARKABLE!  Especially for some place new and different.  I think she has made herself right at home since her teacher says she has a lot to say at circle time.

Crack me up!

I think snack is my favorite part..........what does that say about me?  Well, yes, I do like food......but the cute and creative foods that they come up with are just too adorable and fun!  They have made fruit lobsters, hot dog octopi, little sandals out of nutter butters, just too cute and creative.

Eli is sad that there is only 2 days left of VBS.   Til next year buddy, til next year!

Mastodon, Insects, Shadows, & Dinosaur Footprints

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 6:24 PM

The science museum has some things my kids really enjoy.

Egyptian mummies and insects.......needless to say.....the museum had both.

Eli loves bugs, Hezekiah enjoys mummies, tombs, things Egyptian.

Maggie Beth loves bubbles.

We enjoyed a tree house, animal sounds, frozen shadows, a Mastodon skeleton (that was found in Okeechobee), a rainforest show about insects with some of Eli's favorites, the praying mantis & a butterfly.

Oh bugs, thank you.

Thank you for encouraging my budding entomologist.

Fig Trees, Mummies, Tornadoes, Hieroglyphics

This is the South Florida Science Museum.

Seriously, I cannot believe how big my kids look in this picture.

I have spent the whole day with them at the museum, but they look so big!!!

Hmmmm......?

This museum was a really cool place to visit.

We saw.........

Tornadoes.

Marine organisms.

Mummies, canopic jars, hieroglyphics.

With Pretty Please on Top?

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 5:14 PM

It's hard to be firm at times with this little face.

With the little hands that go up to her eyes when she starts to cry (uuuummm to try and get her way).

Tonight my sweet girl, sitting on the potty looks up at me and asks, "Mommy, may I play in my room with pretty please on top?"

It's hard to be firm with little words like that........

Thankfully, I am firm (at times) like this evening, but I also get a good chuckle at her little words and how she puts them together.
