Easter Morning 2013

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Sunday, March 31, 2013 at 9:47 AM

The Easter Bunny brought 3 large Easter Eggs......pink, black, and blue.

At least that is what I saw this morning when I walked out......

the kids informed me that they were bean bags.

They were excited!

The tooth fairy came last evening too, Hezekiah lost a premolar......crazy huh?

After church.....

We had our Easter Egg hunt!

The real deal....

Page and I hid the eggs while the kids waited inside the house.....we have been practicing this week already!

You've Been "Egged" -- This was HYSTERICAL

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 4:53 PM

Have you seen these bunnies?

Then you may have been EGGED!

The night before Easter and all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse

A couple bunnies were out hopping around

Finding some mischief to spread the good cheer

That Jesus has risen, Oh yes He is here!

Three little kids and their parents too

Went on a ride and found something to do

They hid some eggs for 4 families

One family found us and sent us to retreat

leaving their eggs mostly in a pile....nice and neat,

the other families however may not even know we have arrived

Fun was had, lots of laughing ensued

A tradition we may have started.......

Oh what is a family to do?

We laughed.........Oh, so much fun!

Eli's Photo Egg Hunt

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Friday, March 29, 2013 at 10:24 AM

While I did my egg hunt, I handed the camera over to Eli.

He did his own "photo" egg hunt of the ones I had yet to find!

I might use this idea in the future.  Take pictures of where the eggs are and then hand out the pictures and the kids have to find the egg that matches.

Nice pictures Eli, and thanks for the "new" idea!

Annual Easter Egg Practice Run

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On at 10:22 AM

Prior to Easter Sunday, we do our annual practice run!

We actually do it several times.

A tradition.

It's fun, I hide the eggs the kids find them.

They hide them for me, and I find them.

It prepares them for the real deal on Sunday.

Practice makes perfect they always say!

De Leon Springs - Hike

Posted by Unknown | | Posted On Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 4:50 PM

Eli found treasures, broken tiles.

Enough to make he and his sister quarrel over who got the blue and white speckled one.

Seriously!

Words were spoken, "Well, if you do not share one with me I am NEVER going to play with you again."

Uh, huh....yeah....like that will ever happen.

During our hike and time outside around the Mill, Hezekiah's day just got better.

He literally told me, "This day is just getting better and better."

He found "his" favorite tree.

I tell ya, that kid sure is a lot like me......it does not take much to make us just giddy!

I tell ya, it is the little things in life.

We also found Big Foot's footprint.

The Spring water was just beautiful and clear.

There were some crazies swimming in it too!

Maybe we will go back in the summer to explore these beautiful clear waters!
