The Cumberland Falls - Kentucky

The Cumberland Falls, beauty, history, autumn, Kentucky.

Last Thursday we traveled North toward some changing leaves.

Destination, London, Kentucky.

We traveled to our Phelps' family reunion.

Friday we spent some time over at the Cumberland Falls.

Since I went to Cumberland College (now known as University of the Cumberlands), there is a history there.

I use to visit these Falls with friends from college.  I believe my first trip was with my freshman group (I totally forget the name of the little cell groups we were placed in), but we went there to see the moon bow.  Full moon, mist from falls = moon bow!  Which was awesome.  So it was wonderful to be able to share the Falls with the kids.  Page has been there too, as a kid when he would visit family in Kentucky and we had been there together B.K.  (before kids)!  We hiked all the way down to the beach area and had such a wonderful time as a family.  The kids enjoyed collecting leaves, rocks, and shells......of which we came home with.

Kentucky, I love the splendor of your Fall beauty.
