Trash Truck and Truly Nolen

Friday my kids built a trash truck, as seen in article 1.  The pest control guy was suppose to come between 11 a.m. -12:30 p.m., so I was hoping he would get there at 11, so we could go outside and swim later.  Thankfully, everything was proceeding as I had foreseen (a little Star Wars reference there).  However, what I did not know was the ordeal that was to occur while the pest control guy was there.

Promptly at 11 a.m. Maggie Beth begins crying, not sure why.  So I pick her up and the doorbell rings.  Now, my children are fascinated with anyone who comes to our door and they have to know who it is, ask them a million questions, and wonder why they are there.  So, prior to the pest control guys visit I told the kids that the bug guy was coming to spray today, to avoid one million questions.

Instead of asking one million questions my Curious Georges decided to follow the poor man around our house as the sneaking team.  All the while this trash truck is lying in our family room.  The trash truck consists of 2 loads of laundry, miscellaneous toys, pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, etc.  The bug guy says, "So what have you guys made here?"

Maggie Beth who is deathly afraid of strangers, wants to hide in my side and then desires to be placed in her pack n play and suck on her fingers.  Shying away from any eye contact with bug guy.

Hezekiah and Eli respond to the bug guy, excited that he has asked that it is their trash truck.  I replied, "Yes, apparently everything in our house is trash."  The bug man was intrigued and had more questions one million I am sure for the boys regarding where the trash was crushed, where the driver sat, etc.  The boys answered each question.  Then Eli grabs the laundry and starts throwing it everywhere and says, "Underwear, underwear, underwear."  Of course giggling and running around.

Let's just say, OH MY GOODNESS.  I politely told Eli that what he was throwing was not underwear, that in all actuality it was a shirt, socks, washcloth.  You get the idea, but of course to a four year old boy....underwear is much more fun to say.......I guess.

So, in my house that is what a trash truck and the Truly Nolen man have in common the adventure of a mom who does not have a thing under control and a crazed house of children who do not much care about etiquette.
